What an assessor actually asks for
At least one board or board-committee paper in the last twelve months reporting AI use and outcomes.
Why the mapping is not obvious
The guidance says the governing board should be kept regularly updated on AI use and outcomes. Note the second noun. A technology update is not an outcomes update, and the distinction is what separates a governance programme from a project status report.
The most common failure
Reporting deployment counts. The board does not need to know how many tools are live; it needs to know what changed for patients and what the committee decided not to deploy, which is the harder and more informative list.
