Post-deployment monitoring plan
What it is
The Post-deployment monitoring plan is the artifact that satisfies RUAIH focus area 4 — Monitoring, evaluating and validating — at the control level.
Who signs it
The operational owner of the workflow the tool sits in.
A document without a signature is a draft. An assessor is checking that someone with authority put their name to it.
What an assessor asks for
Metrics, thresholds, an owner and a review frequency tiered by risk — and evidence a review happened.
What goes in it
- Metrics, with the numerator and denominator written out
- Data source and refresh cadence
- Alert thresholds, and the number at which the tool is paused
- Named owner of the pause decision
- Review cadence by risk tier
- Drift indicators and the retraining trigger
- Escalation path and the record of each review
The most common failure
Nobody owns the threshold. The dashboard exists, the metric drifts, and no one is accountable for the decision to pause. Write down in advance the number at which you turn it off and the person who turns it off.
