The anchor record

HAI-OS keeps each institution's governance record on an append-only, hash-linked chain: every registration, baseline, signature and suspension is locked to the entry before it, so a retro-edit breaks verification. This page closes the last gap. Each day the ledger grows, the chain heads of every institution are folded into one anchor hash, chained to the previous anchor, and published here — where independent crawlers and the Internet Archive witness it. After a hash appears on this page, no one, including us, can rewrite the history beneath it without the world noticing. Governance evidence that cannot be backdated, by construction.

How verification works

An institution can prove its record's age to a surveyor, an auditor, or a court without trusting us: export the chain from the survey binder, recompute the hashes entry by entry, and confirm the resulting head appears in an anchor below — then confirm that anchor on an independent archive of this page. Three parties would have to collude to fake a date. Only opaque hashes are published: no institution is named or identifiable here.

Anchor history

Each anchor hash covers the previous anchor, the timestamp, and the sorted chain heads — so the anchor record is itself a chain.
